Olean General Hospital
Olean General Hospital's Diabetes Self-Management Education* and Support Services is designed as a comprehensive program addressing all aspects of diabetes self-management.
Olean General Hospital was the first diabetes education program in Western New York to be recognized by the American Diabetes Association. The program has been continuously recognized for meeting the ADA's stringent quality criteria since March 1993.

Group Classes
Each patient is provided an initial assessment session to determine their personal educational needs prior to attending class. Classes are offered six times per year and are held once a week for three weeks. Many insurances pay for all or part of the cost.

Individual Counseling
Individual counseling is available for pediatric or gestational diabetes, as well as based on patient needs.
